Sammi

Crazy cat anyone? Anyone? Surely you know about this phenomenon. We're not talking your run-of-the-mill silliness. She doesn't eat spaghetti or play fetch. She is caaarrrraaaazzzzyyyy. Primecandidateforcatprozac Crazy.

Yep, she's cute and fluffy. Run.
Sam came to us as a stray on a freezing night in January, a little over a year ago. She loves me. She lets me feed her and has taught me how to open the door when she wants to go out. She even runs to greet me when I come home. "Awwww... that's so sweet", you say? Sure, sure it is.  So sweet I can almost forget and try to pet her. Don't. Don't pet her. Let's just say she doesn't approve of that sort of thing.

Too late now, she sees you.

The focus of all that love isn't just on me, though. She LOVES all the other animals in the house, as well. They still haven't forgiven me.

Max wishes he had run...

Tasty, Sam?

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

Wheeeeeee! Another challenge!

My beautiful model George, who is not only high key, but also high needs and high maintenance.

A photo of a reflection of my bedroom. I better stop before I confuse myself.

Something tiny and silver and pretty...

Off in the distance is Calvary Cemetery. In the foreground the buds of our silver maple. Circle of life and all...

Stripes. If you know what it is you'll earn a pat on the head and my unending friendship.

Sorta Selfie Saturday

OK, so I saw this great sticker on a fellow bloggers post promoting Selfie Saturday!! Cool, I like photos, I like challenges... I like ME... easy peasy, right!  Two hundred and ten photos later I'm thinking maybe this wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. I am a self-portrait newbie... just off the bus... still drinkin' from a bottle and suckin' on my pacifier... neeeewwwwbie.

After the first twenty photos of looking like a dork...

I thought I'd mix it up by looking disturbed...

Finally, I gave up and just got silly.

Luckily, George showed up and took a little pressure off of me, just being me.

And what have we learned from this little experiment? I will never be a super-model? What?! No. I can dream. NEVER jump in to the middle of a portrait challenge when you're an idiot? Well, maybe. I was thinking it has taught me to save the joy of self-portraits for that new camera with a tripod and remote... Yeah.. that's it. Let's chalk this one up as ONE MORE reason to buy a D90. Uh-huh.
